About Me
Here's my Spiel
Hey there! I just want to start by saying welcome! Having a blog is something I have always wanted to do, but have never taken the leap of faith to do it. I tend to talk a lot and have plenty of thoughts, opinions, and feelings about so many things, so what better time to start a blog than now?
Some things about me: I am a true Texan, born and raised. No, I don't own a horse, I don't drive a truck, and I don't wear boots and jeans every day. However, I do say "y'all", am a drinker of sweet tea, an eater of chips and salsa, and I am fond of line dancing and wearing cowgirl boots to do so.
I have a passion for the kitchen. Some may say I am an old soul and I have no doubt that could be true. Give me an apron, a mixing bowl, and some ingredients and you can guarantee it will put a smile on my face. From homemade pastas, soups, and sheet pan meals, to cookies, pies, and sourdough bread, you can find me in the kitchen just about every day. There’s just something about preparing, creating, and nourishing those around me that fills my cup (not pun intended ;)).
When I’m not in the kitchen, you can find me playing the piano or outside being active. I enjoy evening walks, morning jogs, and just about any sport. (But please don’t ask me to play volleyball or golf haha!) Card games and board games are also two things I seriously enjoy. But watch out, I am a little bit competitive. Okay, a lot a bit competitive. What can I say, this girl likes to win!
Lastly, I want you to know that I love life. The simple things in life specifically. Laughter, pjs, sunsets, flowers, clean laundry, a good smelling candle, babies, windows rolled down, house plants, a well organized closet, hugs, and the list goes on. The love for the simple things in life comes from the contentment of knowing the Lord- Jesus, my savior, being my all. He continually reminds me to slow down, soak up the good in every day, and to be grateful for the things I have, because there is beauty in the mundane.
My desire is that this blog will bring joy and laughter, but will also create a space for you to find beauty in the mundane, consider your deep thoughts, and draw nearer to the Lord.
